How to use the pull-down menus:

Match controls how the search engine looks for the words entered in the search field: All the words, Any of the words, or using the Boolean expressions AND, OR, and NOT.

Format controls the format in which the results are displayed: a Long version that displays the title of the page and sample text or a Short version that just displays the title of the page.

Sort by controls the order in which the results are displayed: highest to lowest Score, latest to earliest Time the documents were created, alphabetical by Title, or the Reverse order for any of the three Sort by controls.
